A new phenomenon of this kind has increasingly been added to the automatic fixation cameras hanging along Russian roads – police drones. The AvtoVzglyad portal tells about the results of using such equipment in a particular region.

The regional traffic police for the Krasnodar Territory reported on another “high-tech” penalty catch – a number of resolutions prepared with the help of police quadcopters.

It turned out that traffic cops have adapted to launch their drones equipped with video cameras in places where drivers often break traffic rules, making sure there are no stationary traffic police cameras and traffic police patrols nearby.

Now, potential perpetrators will not only have to keep in mind the police ground tracking equipment, but also monitor the skies, as the use of drones by law enforcement officers has proven to be a clearly successful venture and will be used on an increasingly large scale.

– In a week’s time, more than 300 violations were detected using unmanned aircraft, of which on the basis of part 1 of art. 12.15 of the Code of Administrative Offenses and under Part 4 of Art. 12.15 Administrative Code of the Russian Federation, Krasnodar Traffic Police reported the day before.

Recall that in part 1 of article 12.15 of the Code of Administrative Offenses we are talking about driving on the road (1500 rubles fine), and part 4 of the same article 12.15 is about driving into the oncoming lane. If such a violation is recorded by the traffic police camera, the driver of the car will be fined 5,000 rubles.
