In September 2021, they stopped issuing fines for breaking the average speed. The drivers breathed a sigh of relief, but no luck! The conversation that the practice should be resumed, but first legalized, did not stop. The recording of the average speed became more and more supporters who appealed to the statistics of traffic accidents. And now the draft of the necessary amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses is already in the government.

One of the co-authors, deputy Nikolai Novichkov of the State Duma, said the initiators expect a conclusion by the end of August, which will be positive, when the draft will be submitted to parliament immediately.

When it is finally accepted – and it certainly will, because the state treasury needs to be replenished – drivers will be fined 500 rubles for exceeding the average speed by more than 20 km / h. At 40-60 km/h – 1,500 rubles, over 60 km/h – 5,000 rubles. In addition, in the latter two cases, they will also not receive “entitlements” for relapse for up to a year.
