The Korean automaker has announced a recall for more than 105,000 Kia Rio vehicles in Russia. According to Rosstandart, the reason for such a large-scale service campaign was possible problems with airbags. Portal “AutoVzglyad” found out the details.
The best-selling model in the Kia line in the Russian market was recalled. We’re talking about Rio, released between 2013 and 2018.
“There may be an internal malfunction in the airbag module. The software of the Airbag module is updated on all vehicles and replaced if necessary,” Rosstandart reports.
Official dealers of the Korean brand will carry out work free of charge to solve any problems. You can check directly on the Rosstandart website whether your Kia Rio is covered by the service campaign by checking the VIN code of the car. However, the dealer must also warn the owners of the infamous cars. But as we know, must – does not mean obligatory.
