Analytical agency “AUTOSTAT” conducted a survey of more than 3,000 car owners from different regions of Russia. The experts found out on which online platforms compatriots buy and sell their cars most often. As a result, 67.2% of respondents were found to place their ads for sale on Avito Auto, while 56.6% reported that a buyer had also been found through this platform.

According to the results of the survey, “AUTOSTAT” called Avito Auto the most recognizable platform for buying and selling cars. More than half of respondents (56.5%), answer the question: “When it comes to sites that place ads for the sale of cars, which one comes to mind first?” — called Avito Auto. At the same time, according to the results of the study, all other specialized means are inferior to the leader in recognition by more than double the delay.

According to AUTOSTAT experts, when selling a car, owners usually place ads on multiple sources at once. But most often they are published on Avito Auto: 67.2% of respondents published advertisements on this platform. As a result, car sellers are the most likely to find buyers on Avito Auto: 56.6% of respondents closed the deal through this platform. Less than a quarter (21.2%) of the car sellers who participated in the survey found buyers through Auto.ru, nearly the same number (20.1%) through Drom.ru.

It is noteworthy that, according to the results of the AUTOSTAT survey, Avito Auto is the No. 1 platform for the sale of a car not only in the regions, but also in the capitals: 50% of Moscow residents and 60 .6% of the inhabitants of St. Petersburg found a buyer here.

Avito Auto took first place here too in terms of car purchases. In the context of the AUTOSTAT survey, car buyers usually named Avito Auto as the main platform for transactions: 44.7% of respondents reported that they managed to find a car dealer or dealer on Avito Auto, where they ended up with a bought a car. A quarter of respondents (25.5%) indicated that they had found “their” seller on Auto.ru. 14.9% of respondents found a car dealership or dealer center on Drom.ru. The CarPrice.ru platform received more than 5% of the vote, and the rest – about 10%.

It should be noted that there are currently more than 730,000 advertisements for the sale of cars on Avito, of which 224,000 advertisements from dealers. A further 210,000 advertisements were published in the “Trucks and special equipment” section; 82,000 – in the section “Water transport” and about 133,000 – in the section “Motorcycles and motor vehicles”. About 55% of Avito visitors go to the “Transportation” section, or about 23.8 million people per month across the country.
