According to data published by the region’s traffic police, operators of the local traffic enforcement complex spotted a group of youths on Telman Street at night, allegedly drinking alcoholic beverages near a Mercedes-Benz passenger car.
At the end of an impromptu boot lid party, the company ducked into a sedan, and a young lady, showing a fair amount of inebriation, got behind the wheel. Typically, one of the male passengers even crossed himself and flopped down in the back seat of a foreign car.
Safe City operators contacted the traffic police on duty and told the police about a car with a drunk driver on the city streets. At the same time, they tracked Mercedes’ movement using CCTV cameras.
A few minutes after the report, the traffic police stopped a car with a drunken company at the intersection of Gorky and Ozerov streets. The inspectors offered a 31-year-old woman who was driving a car to undergo a medical examination for alcohol intoxication. The breath analysis showed a multiple exceedance of the permitted alcohol content in the air exhaled by the citizen. “Due to driving under the influence, the woman is subject to part 1 of art. 12.8 of the Code of Administrative Offenses,” the police said. Now the girl is threatened with deprivation of “rights”.
