According to the Avtostat-Info analysis company, the turnover from the sale of cars on the Russian market in the period from January to July 2022 amounted to 896 billion rubles. In July, the Russians spent almost 88 billion rubles on the purchase of vehicles.
AVTOVAZ made the most money, with LADA Granta alone selling more than 5 billion rubles, while LADA Vesta added more than 2.5 billion. As much as 3 billion Russian currency was saved by the Chinese Chery from the sale of the Tiggo 7 PRO crossover. And 2.9 billion helped Asians earn Geely Coolray, another 2.6 billion – Haval Jolion.
As you can see, the Chinese aren’t even slowly but surely “tearing up” the Russian car market, forcing the vintage cars into the backyards. Fortunately or unfortunately, but a little more, and almost without exception we ride on products from the PRC.
By the way, recently a correspondent from the AvtoVzglyad portal came across a cemetery of the brand new Toyota Camry and Ford Transit, left in the open in the north of Moscow. Fifty cars, some of which are not registered with the traffic police, have been standing still for months.
