Iran wants to sell its cars in Russia. For example, Iran Khodro has already decided to return to the Russian market. It is also interesting that cars of Iranian assembly, but originally from other countries, can come to us. The AvtoVzglyad portal tells about the most interesting cars that can appear in dealer showrooms.

Let’s start with the most budget cars, which, with the right price tag, compete with the Russian bestseller – LADA Granta. We mean the Iranian Renault Logan, known in the country as Tondar 90 and SAIPA P90. The name of the sedan was changed in 2020, at the same time the designers changed the front and rear of the body, installed new lighting equipment, and also made innovations in the cabin.

As for the engines, the Iranians want to put a Togliatti power unit under the hood. Most likely, it will be a 1.6-liter VAZ-21129 engine with a power of 106 horsepower. s., which now operates under the hood of LADA Largus.

The largest car manufacturer Iran Khodro has something to offer. Here the focus is on the latest Khodro Rira crossover. It is built on the IKP1 platform, that is, a localized and modified “trolley” of the French PSA, on which such cars as the Peugeot 208, 2008, Citroen C-Elysee and others were based.

The front-wheel drive SUV received a 1.6-liter gasoline engine with a power of 113 horsepower, as well as a supercharged unit of the same volume with an efficiency of 168 “horses”. Both are paired with a 6-band “automatic”

The Tara sedan, that is, the modified Peugeot 301, was built on the same “trolley”. Tara has already been taken to Russia. The model was even shown at the Interauto exhibition, but it never went beyond the presentation. Well, now it can get off the ground.

By the way, Chinese models are also assembled in Iran – Haima, Dongfeng and JAC. This means that the Chinese will have the opportunity to enter the Russian market, while avoiding secondary sanctions that they fear.

Most likely, JAC will follow this path, organizing the assembly of its models in the facilities of the former factory in Moskvich. One of the models may be the KMC J7 sedan, which is now produced at the facilities of the Iranian company Kerman Motor. The model has a modern design and under the hood runs a 1.5 liter supercharged engine with an output of 172 hp. Of. coupled to a 6-speed “robot”. The other is the JAC Sehol E40X crossover, spy photos of which have already been spread across the network.

Similarly, the Chinese Haima risks the S5 and S7 crossovers. By the way, they were also once sold in Russia. It’s just a little restyling. This pair is not distinguished by advanced technical solutions, but with an adequate “price” cars will be bought.

As for assembly sites, it is not a problem to find them in Russia. Think for example of Derways in Cherkessk or Stavropol Auto.
