The appearance and interior of the updated Hyundai Palisade have been revealed on social networks. Hyundai’s flagship crossover is waiting for an evolutionary upgrade, but the naturally aspirated 3.8 GDi six-cylinder engine may be replaced by a 2.5 T-GDi turbo four.

Hyundai revealed the Palisade’s key exterior features earlier in the week when it released black and white teasers. A screenshot from the video adds details – it looks like the exhibition protruding from the bottom of the bumper will not be painted in body color, the lower tier of headlights will have not three, but two sections, and malachite green should become the corporate color.

As for the interior, the key new thing will be a four-spoke steering wheel, like on the Sonata sedan. The digital instrument panel will also be added, the design of the air ducts will change, and the diagonal of the touchscreen of the multimedia system may symbolically increase. The layout with a three-seat sofa on the third row should remain unchanged.

There is no official information about the changes in the engine range, but it is expected that the old 2.2-liter turbodiesel with a cast-iron block will be replaced by an aluminum Smartstream unit, and one of the six-cylinder naturally aspirated petrols will give way to a four-cylinder turbo engine.

The public premiere of the updated Hyundai Palisade will take place at the New York Auto Show on April 13.
