The Iranian company Iran Khodro Diesel showed the Atrin + truck at one of the local specialized exhibitions. Outwardly, it is very similar to the Russian GAZ “Valdai NEXT”, but in fact everything is not so simple. And the Iranians did not buy a license from Nizhny Novgorod.

The Iranian truck Atrin+ is very similar to our Valdai due to the cabin. There is nothing surprising here as it is from the Chinese Foton Ollin truck. The same is used by Valdai. However, our car is based on a Russian-made NEXT chassis, and the “Iranian” one is completely copied from a Chinese car.

As for the power plant, under the Atrin+ is a Cummins ISF 3.8s5154 diesel engine with an efficiency of 154 hp. Of. Remember that our Valdai NEXT is equipped with a Cummins ISF2.8s5F148M supercharged diesel engine with an output of 133 hp. Of.

As the manufacturer assures, IKD Atrin+ will be sold in the local market in the very near future. As for exports to other countries, it’s too early to talk about that. That same Foton, and the GAZ Group in Russia, will not be happy with such a competitor.
