The media leaked information about the negotiations between the Russian carmaker and Uzbek government agencies over the export of local labor to Russia. Portal “AvtoVzglyad” provides details.

The negotiations between representatives of AVTOVAZ and the Uzbek Agency for External Labor Migration were reported by Podrobno.uz. According to him, the Russian carmaker is ready to attract 500 skilled workers from Uzbekistan to work in its factories. They will reportedly work on assembly lines and component manufacturing.

“AVTOVAZ has long announced the start of a recruitment program for its production in Togliatti,” the company’s press service answered a request from the AvtoVzglyad portal. At the same time, they declined to comment on “issues of attracting foreign labor.”

Recall that on August 29, AVTOVAZ president Maxim Sokolov announced the transition of the plant to a full-fledged five-day work schedule. At the same time, the assembly production operates in a six-day mode. Now LADA Granta and LADA Niva models are leaving the company’s assembly lines in various configurations.
