Kerman Motor, which originated in the global auto industry at the turn of the century, was originally engaged in assembling Chinese Chery models under the MVM and Fownix brands. And a few years ago, the management decided to start production of some JAC models. These connections allowed him to start working on his first car of his own.
The Iranians bought from JAC the platform of the J4 sedan, which was produced in China from 2013 to 2019. In other words, the car is not the freshest. But in the end, the company rolled out a fairly original Kerman PS1 sedan to the public.
As for the powerplant, under the hood of the PS1 may be a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine rated at 115 horsepower. met., aggregated with a variator. And the equipment has cruise control, a reversing camera, two airbags and air conditioning.
The car may go on sale soon. If the model is in high demand among local buyers, the automaker will most likely consider exporting the Kerman PS1 to other countries, including Russia.
