Mitsubishi L200 sixth generation spotted during tests

Mitsubishi has indefinitely suspended its activities in Russia: deliveries from abroad are “frozen”, cars are also not produced at the brand’s Kaluga plant. However, work abroad is in full swing. The Japanese in particular are working hard on the sixth generation of the L200 pick-up truck, as witnessed by fresh “espionage” photos.

Judging by the published photos, the Mitsubishi L200 will retain recognizable features. For example, although the designers have thoroughly redesigned the front part, the changes are clearly visible, despite the dense camouflage film. In addition, it is assumed that the new truck will be larger than its predecessor: the wheelbase will be longer and the track wider.

The interior is still a mystery – there are no “spy photos” of the cabin, no intriguing teasers from the manufacturer. Nothing is known about the “iron”. According to our foreign colleagues from Motor1, the Mitsubishi L200 will share the platform with the Nissan Navara, which is also preparing for a generation change. The engine range will include petrol and diesel engines, with hybrid modifications likely to be available in some regions.

The sixth Mitsubishi L200 is expected to premiere in 2023. But it is difficult to guess when the truck will enter the Russian market in the current situation. The Japanese, as already mentioned, have suspended the supply of cars to our country, although sales continue – dealers are working with stock. So L200 is offered today at a price of 4,179,000 rubles.
