How will Iran’s car expansion to Russia end, why not only Moskvich, but also AVTOVAZ will not be able to get off the Chinese needle when most of the cameras for automatic photo fixation of violations are removed from the country’s roads, and how is the metropolitan traffic police now catch drunk drivers? The answers to these and other questions are in the video review of the main events of the week of the AvtoVzglyad portal.
Most of the news came from Chinese fields last week. For example, Chery announced the appearance in Russia of two new sedans. Representatives of the brand did not say exactly which models are going to the showrooms, but it can be assumed that they were talking about Arrizo 5 Plus and Arrizo 8. Meanwhile, Omoda (another sub-brand of Chery) showed the interior of the C5 crossover , Geely showed the new Atlas and Great Wall patented the look of the King Kong Poer pickup truck.
High activity was also observed among Iranian manufacturers, who promise to flood our country with affordable cars. Iran Khodro said they are ready to certify and market the Tara sedan (became Peugeot 301), and Saipa plans to offer us the Shahin budget four-door. In addition, these two carmakers are now working together on a raised hatchback a la Renault Sandero Stepway – which can also come to Russia.
But what about domestic manufacturers? Here, unfortunately, nothing particularly interesting this week. AVTOVAZ announced the prices of LADA Niva Travel for the new model year and LADA Granta with airbags. Representatives of the luxury brand Aurus have mentioned the approximate price of the Senat hydrogen sedan (spoiler – very expensive). And the head of the revived Moskvich car factory said the company would develop its own electric vehicle platform.
Last week there were no “social programs” – for example, several news items came at once from the traffic police. First, the department talked about a new way to identify drunk drivers in Moscow. And second, they reported on unfastened seat belt fines, most of which were handed out based on data from automatic photo-fixing cameras. Incidentally, complexes – at the proposal of deputies – will soon be much less on the road.
