Since the test Mazda CX-90, which fell into the camera lens, was pasted with a dense camouflage film, and the quality of the photos themselves leaves much to be desired, it is rather difficult to judge the exterior of the novelty. It seems that when “drawing” the flagship crossover, the designers looked to the CX-60 presented in the spring – at least we see the same design of the rear optics.
However, there is nothing surprising in this. Especially considering that the CX-90 will be based on the same rear-wheel drive platform with a longitudinal engine that the “sixty” is based on. But unlike her, the novelty will accommodate 7 people, as suggested by an elongated rear overhang. Although this is quite to be expected, because the CX-9 is offered with three rows of seats.
Mazda has previously said that the CX-90 is primarily aimed at the United States and “some other markets.” It is not clear whether Russia is one of them. Although the Japanese have suspended activities in our country for political reasons (deliveries, production at the Vladivostok plant have been frozen), it is unlikely that we will see the CX-90 or any other new product from Mazda in the near future.
