The St. Petersburg company EVM is best known for developing an electric truck based on the UAZ Profi. It was called EVM Pro and was first shown in Moscow. Recently, a columnist for the AvtoVzglyad portal visited the EVM base in St. Petersburg, where he got acquainted with the innovative “truck” and even managed to drive the new product, which we will tell about in the near future.
But something else is also interesting. As it turned out, the company’s representatives found out that they were negotiating the delivery of an electric motor and power electronics of their own design to the Moskvich plant. This synchronous motor has a power of 85 kW and weighs only 50 kg: excellent performance in its class. If we talk about the traction battery, then it consists of ten segments, each of which has 12 cells (capacity – 90 kWh). Each segment has a heat exchanger plate that operates in heating or cooling mode. The company also developed its own switching unit, through which the entire system functions.
Apparently, in the former territory of AZLK they will first start producing electric cars (probably these will be cars from the Chinese JAC), and then they will assemble their own models. Domestic innovations are needed here.
