The delay in the development of the SUV is due to the fact that the former head of Ferrari, Sergio Marchionne, has repeatedly said that such a car will appear only through his corpse. And so it happened. Marchionne left this world in 2018 and the “off-road Ferrari” has just been shown. Admittedly, Marchionne still managed to give the green light for the project in 2017.
As a result, Purosangue was built on a new “cart”, and under the hood they placed a 6.5-liter gasoline engine with a return of 725 forces. It has direct fuel injection and a dry sump lubrication system. That is, this is the same unit that works on the Ferrari 812 Superfast.
If we talk about the dimensions, then the length of the novelty is 4973 mm, the width is 2028 mm, and the height is 1589 mm. It turns out that the car is more compact than the Lamborghini Urus. But the wheelbase of the Ferrari is longer: 3018mm versus 3002mm. If you look into the salon, you see four separate seats with electric drive. Interestingly, there is also no known monitor in the center of the front panel. Instead, there is a 10.2-inch screen on the passenger side.
As for the start of sales, they will start in the fall. In Europe, 390,000 euros is asked for a car.
