In Russia recalls “buggy” crossovers Lexus NX

Although Lexus has suspended deliveries of cars to Russia, the Japanese are not refusing to fix manufacturing defects on previously sold cars. This is evidenced by the launch of a new revocable campaign, which targets NX crossovers with potentially ‘buggy’ electronics.

So owners of 419 Lexus NX 250 and NX 350 crossovers sold to Russian dealers from January 16, 2022 to the present are invited for free repairs. For potentially defective vehicles, the ‘brain’ of the lane guard and the anti-skid control unit are reprogrammed.

It turned out that lane monitoring can ‘steer’ the car incorrectly due to incorrectly set parameters. And the anti-skid system goes into safe mode through a fault in the ECU and “throws” a parking brake failure message on the dash.

In the near future, owners of crossovers covered by the service campaign will be informed about the need to call the dealer. However, there is no need to wait for a call from a car dealer: the availability of pending recalls for a particular car can always be checked on the Rosstandart website – all you need is the vehicle’s VIN number for this.
