Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a partial mobilization in the country. Now we are definitely going to live in a new way. And it is not at all a fact, according to experts from the AvtoVzglyad portal, that mobilization measures over time will not become even more ambitious than is currently announced.

According to Vladimir Putin, civilians who have served in the military in much-demanded military specialties will be recalled from the reserve. They also mobilize all kinds of “siloviki”. It is believed that no conscripts will be sent to deal with the Ukrainian issue. But who is stopping the conscript from signing the contract? As for the reservists who are now “in civilian life”, then in theory people aged 18-50 can be called up. It is reported that about 300,000 people will be invited to the service per subpoena. At least at this stage. And how it will continue – time will tell.

As for car owners, here we can remember that in Soviet times the whole country had to be ready for war with the West at all times. To do this, the owners of SUVs of the brands UAZ and Zhiguli had to register their cars not only with the traffic police, but also with the military commissariats at the place of registration. Soldier “Niva” and UAZ-469 in the event of a global struggle with imperialism would be withdrawn for the needs of the army. Now no one is forcing Russians to register SUVs with the military registration and recruitment office.

This just makes no sense: yet all car owners are “on the pencil” of federal electronic systems. As far as we understand, there is no withdrawal for the needs of the front end of private off-road vehicles. And basically, the LADA Niva is hard to imagine as a front-line car. Like a crossover from a foreign car brand. Such vehicles in difficult conditions of military operations will fail immediately.

The army’s needs for SUVs will be fully satisfied by the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant. Which, apparently, can now switch to a 24-hour production mode of “simplified” Hunter and Patriot. And owners of crossover SUVs of foreign origin could face forced confiscation of their cars, perhaps only if the military doesn’t even have UAZs anymore. Or when the heads of the local military commander’s offices (if/when the general situation calls for it) make it a rule not to ride banal fighters, but used, but pretentious Kruzaks and Geliks…
