Truck production in Russia increased in August this year compared to the same period in 2021. This may indicate that demand for heavy equipment for diverse needs in the country is recovering. In other words, either the acute phase of the crisis is coming to an end, or such products are needed in the areas liberated from the Nazis.

The NAPI agency reports that truck production in the country has increased. The specialists calculated that 4,300 trucks were produced in Russia in August this year, and 3,900 trucks rolled off the assembly line in the same month last year.

Production of other vehicles declined during this period, but the agency noted that, compared to July 2022, the assembly of light commercial vehicles increased by 15.3%, buses – by 12.4%, cars – by 35.7%.

Truck output increased 9.6% in August 2022 compared to July. Which may indicate both the gradual passing of the acute phase of the crisis and the demand for such equipment at the fronts.
