Najafi Manesh, chairman of the board of the Iranian Association of Component Manufacturers, spoke about his colleagues’ plans for cooperation with Russian car manufacturers. Portal “AvtoVzglyad” provides details.
“We have to seize the opportunity, we have to draw up a multi-year plan so that this cooperation continues under different circumstances,” Manesh commented on the idea of creating an agreement between AvtoVAZ and Iran for the joint production of cars.
According to him, it will be useful for Russian and Iranian companies to organize joint production of auto parts for the markets of both states. He also said that Iranian manufacturers are ready to export auto parts to the Russian Federation that are in high demand with us, as well as to purchase engines, brake system parts and other types of auto parts in Russia. Manesh recalled that both Russian and Iranian car companies have cooperated with the French Renault, that is, they can mutually benefit from trading with each other in spare parts for cars of this brand.
Manesh said that more than 2,000 kinds of auto parts are produced in Iran: airbags, brake pads, steering elements, body parts. In Russia, Manesh told RIA Novosti, there is also a developed auto parts industry, so both countries should combine their capabilities in this area.
