The authorities are discussing the transfer of the section of the Novorizhskoye expressway M9 Baltiya adjacent to the Moscow ring road from the jurisdiction of Rosavtodor to the sale of the Moscow government, with dire consequences in the form of “allocations” and ongoing road repairs and construction. Portal “AvtoVzglyad” provides details.
In September, during one of the meetings of the Moscow Transport Hub Directorate, the idea was expressed to transfer the 17-22 km section of the M9 Baltiya highway from federal ownership to the jurisdiction of the city authorities. We are talking about the section of the Moscow ring road to the place where the shopping center “Globus” is located. This is reportedly due to plans for further urbanization of the Rublevo-Arkhangelskoye natural zone through the overall development of residential and business centers. The project launched by SberCity entails, among other things, the construction of a metro line to the area of the future micro-city on the Moscow River. Plans are currently being discussed to transfer an entire stretch of the M9 federal highway to the rest of Moscow. But apparently they will eventually be implemented.
It is not for nothing that the press service of the Moscow Ministry of Construction already tells Kommersant that the transfer of a multi-lane highway to the city will make it possible to “arrange priority movement of route vehicles with the organization of special lanes” here, as well as “synchronization of transport infrastructure development projects”. Translated from urban to Russian, this usually means a significant decrease in road traffic due to the ill-considered “cutting off” of the “separate zone” for buses from the carriageway, and the beginning of an almost continuous “improvement” by building more and more new ones. junctions and exits. Their appearance, as the experience of the reconstruction of the nodes of the Moscow ring road shows, does not fundamentally change the situation on the highway, since all the traffic jams that have already become traditional remain in place, just as they did before modernization. And now, during rush hour, the route 17-22 km from the M9 is suffocating in traffic jams. And after the appearance of “assignments” and other “perestroikas” on it, it will finally be in deaf “traffic jams”.
