The line of cars at the Russian-Georgian border crossing “Upper Lars” has decreased

The number of cars accumulating in a multi-mile line in front of the Upper Lars checkpoint on the border between Russia and Georgia is gradually decreasing. Portal “AutoVzglyad” tells the details.

According to the latest data, the number of cars displayed here has been reduced to 2,500. The day before, there were 3,000 units, and two days ago, about 3,300 migrant vehicles languished in a several-kilometer traffic jam. Immediately after the announcement of a partial mobilization in Russia, problems arose with the departure to Georgian territory. The checkpoint could not handle the influx of people trying to cross the border.

Extortions of motorists and passengers were reported, which were immediately dealt with by dozens of local traffic officers. The FSB has already detained many of them. In North Ossetia, a high-warning regime was introduced and cars from other regions of Russia were not allowed to enter its territory.

And at the checkpoint “Upper Lars” appeared a mobile recruitment center, the employees of which began to issue subpoenas to those who wanted to leave for Georgia, who are enlisted in the army. Apparently, these measures have greatly reduced the influx of Russians who want to emigrate, and the line of cars should soon disappear.
