Here, during the “Days of Speed on Baikal Ice” trials, series tires from the regional Cordiant Professional FR-1 and DR-1 line were installed on a 500 hp Ford F-Max tractor. As part of the tests, maximum speed races were conducted in a straight line on the bare ice of the lake. The test truck had a top speed of 138 km/h on the straight and also showed an average speed of 135,895 km/h at a distance of 1 kilometer from the move. These figures became national records and were registered in the list of records of the RAF (Russian Automobile Federation).
In addition to straight-line testing, Cordiant and Ford F-Max tires were tested in a new discipline for the Days of Speed at Baikal Ice – a 500-kilometer race along a curve-packed ring track. The tractor overcame it in 6 hours, with an average speed of 91 km / h. This high average speed was made possible by the good road holding of the Cordiant Professional handlebars and excellent grip. Ford and Cordiant pioneered the new circuit and set the bar high for future participants in such events.
The coefficient of adhesion with pavement on Baikal is about 7-10 times lower than on wet asphalt. High speeds in such conditions perfectly demonstrate the grip qualities of Cordiant Professional tires.
