Seller without goods: why Moskvich is opening a dealer network
The Moscow car factory “Moskvich” began to form its own sales network. Currently, companies operating in 23 major cities of Russia can apply for official dealer status. But it is still unclear which car dealers will sell. Portal “AutoVzglyad” tells the details.

Dealer centers of the revived brand will appear in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar and other major cities.

The factory plans to select partners for the sale and maintenance of future Moskvich models. At the same time, one of the mandatory criteria is the willingness to create an infrastructure for electric vehicles. You can register until October 21.

Every major automaker has its own dealer network, but in relation to Moskvich, this sounds strange and ridiculous. The factory has not yet started production. In addition, it is not even clear which models will be assembled on its site. So far there are only rumors about it.

Recall that in the summer, during the signing of a cooperation agreement with KamAZ, photos of the vehicles that the company was able to produce were shown. Then we saw fully Chinese JAC models with both classic motorcycles and electric cars. All this was later refuted. Apparently, the Chinese themselves were afraid of secondary sanctions.

Let’s also think of the “KAMAZ” project “Kama-1”. This “baby” is equipped with an electric motor with a capacity of 109 forces. According to the makers, the electrical device can change the first hundred from standstill in 6.7 seconds and the maximum speed is 150 km/h.

It takes six hours to fully charge an electric car, and only 20 minutes in fast food mode. However, until now, no one has talked about the mass production of such a model. KamAZ deals with the problems of import substitution. What kinds of non-core projects are there. This is certainly not a Kama-1, especially according to a number of media reports, Moskvich wants to produce about 600 cars by the end of this year, 200 of which are electric.

Apparently we are talking about a screwdriver set from SKD car kits. Only with such technology can at least something be assembled in the factory in such a short time. In this case, the company will easily master the production of any brand of car. But where do you get them from?

Therefore, suppose Moskvich is still going to assemble JAC cars that can be delivered to Russia from Iran. The Chinese are therefore not threatened with sanctions. As for the nameplates on the body, they will of course be replaced by Moskvich decals. This is the fastest to do.
