Now only talk about electric vehicles. In our country, large and small companies are working on it. Moskvich wants to produce electric cars and the converted Chinese Dongfeng electric trains are already leaving the assembly line of the Motorinvest company. However, such a huge passion for innovation can have a bad effect on both the manufacturers themselves and ordinary motorists. The AvtoVzglyad portal cites its arguments on this matter.
But let’s start with ordinary citizens, who in the near future will hear a lot of rave reviews about electric cars. I have to sell them! However, this type of transport is not suitable for most Russian drivers. If only because the authorities of megacities are building huge residential towers. And in such houses there are no electric chargers and you can not find a parking space in the evening. That is, no one will pay 3,000,000 rubles for an innovative car and suffer from it. Yes, and it’s not clear where to charge it.
And under the “trains” you need to rebuild your driving habits. A hard start and a well-heated cabin mean limited mileage. This becomes relevant in the winter, when you can just get up with a dead battery. Besides, parkons don’t sleep. So, because of not being able to drive, pay a fine for stopping in the wrong place or for leaving the bus lane.
To get as far as possible, you need to move smoothly and roll more, because only with the help of energy recovery the battery is charged. Unfortunately, traffic jams in major Russian cities do not allow this.
We are thinking here of car-sharing companies that, for example, want to buy electric cars such as the Evolute I-Pro. Car sharing customers do not save rental cars. They chase them and throw them where they want. How businessmen also deal with massive discharges of traction batteries. If this happens, the tenants will have many claims. They pay to keep the car running. Of course, cunning traders in this case will shift their claims to manufacturers. They will invest in the development of new batteries, which will make electric vehicles even more expensive. But you can’t raise prices forever: Expensive obscure cars just aren’t taken. As a result, production will get stuck in debt, leading to massive bankruptcies.
With commercial “trains”, the story is even more complicated. Ulyanovsk trucks, which Russian inventors now use as the basis for installing power units, are absolutely unsuitable for city traffic. Due to their slowness, these cars will not be able to maneuver in narrow yards to get to the unloading areas, and will lose to the same used Gazelles or Hyundai Porter. Let’s add that the usual komtrans in the garden can be repaired. And the “electric train” is only at the dealer.
Continue. It is customary for us to overload every truck. Otherwise – do not earn. And since electric trucks are heavy on their own, an extra half-ton of payload can significantly reduce the range. The result is a dead battery at the most inopportune moment. That is, a fine for the carrier for delaying the delivery of goods. No sane businessman would take such risks.
Finally, no one has raised the issue of battery recycling. But the massive transition to electric transport forces the authorities to think about this issue. After all, they have to be stored and processed somewhere. This means huge investments in creating new industries. At the same time, Russia’s state budget is not made of rubber. However these costs are passed on to manufacturers in the form of new duties, fees or taxes. But this will bring the car factories, which are already barely making ends meet, to their knees. I am afraid that only the mass production of cheap cars with petrol engines can save everyone.
