Motorinvest, an assembly plant in the Lipetsk region that is preparing to produce an entire line of electric vehicles, plans to deliver thousands of its products to customers this year. Portal “AvtoVzglyad” provides details.
— Our capacities are 100,000 cars per year to paint. Let me put it this way, 10,000-15,000 cars could be such a nice follow-up for next year. Technically we can of course produce much more”, says Andrey Reznikov, managing partner of Motorinvest.
It was previously announced that the company must produce 3,000 electric cars by 2022. At the moment, only the Evolute I-Pro sedan is produced there. This vehicle is nothing more than the Aeolus E70 model from the Chinese Dongfeng, assembled in Russia according to the SKD method. Later, in Lipetsk, wheels will also be fitted to other Chinese electric models, which will pass as the Evolute I-Joy crossover and the Evolute I-Van minivan. Prices for Evolutes, according to Kommersant, start at a minimum of 3-3.5 million rubles.
Recall that the Russian authorities have provided for a special mechanism to stimulate the sale of electric Evolute vehicles. It is about compensation from the state budget of a discount of 35 percent (but not more than 925,000 rubles) for the buyer of an electric train of this brand. Taking into account that the cheapest Evolute will cost the owner at least 2,075 million rubles.
