They made an SUV that produces its own electricity: the new Nissan X-Trail is coming to Turkey in November! Here are the features:

After its first launch in 2001, it is one of the most popular family cars in the world, with sales of nearly 7 million worldwide. Nissan X Trail, It will raise the bar in the SUV segment. Adventure-loving customers will enjoy the dynamic performance and advanced electric driving technologies offered by the advanced e-4ORCE electric four-wheel drive powertrain and the next-generation X-Trail.

e-POWER drivetrain

The new X-Trail will be the second model in Nissan’s European range to be equipped with the innovative e-POWER propulsion system. Nissan’s exclusive e-POWER system, a unique approach to electrification without charging electric driving experience. The e-POWER system was first used in the Note family car in Japan in 2017. Due to its wireless use and effortless performance, the Note is in 2018. It became Japan’s best-selling car. The new X-Trail’s e-POWER system consists of a powerful battery and an integrated powertrain with a variable compression petrol engine, generator, inverter and 150 kW front electric motor.

This unique powertrain, where power to the wheels comes only from the electric motor, ensures that the accelerator pedal responds immediately and at the same speed when pressed. The e-POWER functions have been significantly improved in the new X-Trail to meet the demands of European consumers and everyday urban needs. The Japanese Note model had a 1.2-liter gasoline engine that charged the battery with a final power of 106 hp. For Europe, the switch has been made to a 1.5-litre variable-compression turbo petrol engine delivering 150 kW (204 hp) of final power. from e-POWER, where the gasoline engine is only used to generate electricity and the wheels are completely driven by the electric motor with unique features such as:

This ensures that the engine is always running in the optimum range and provides superior fuel efficiency in urban environments. Thanks to the 100% electric motor drive, there is no deceleration as with combustion engines or conventional hybrids. It makes driving easier and safer when overtaking or driving on the highway, as it reacts immediately and provides agile acceleration with high torque values.

“Linear tuning” is an integral part of the e-POWER plant design, which keeps the petrol engine running and runs it at a speed appropriate for the vehicle’s driving speed, avoiding the “revolution” effect experienced with conventional hybrids during rapid acceleration. The second benefit is offered as improvements to run the engine at the low RPM normally required in urban and residential conditions. In addition to these benefits, The e-POWER drive system guarantees a quiet ride, For example, the noise of a car with e-POWER technology traveling at 40 km/h is 8 dB less than that of its competitors.

4X4 comfort with e-4ORCE technology

The launch of this new X-Trail in Europe introduces a new four-wheel drive system designed to work with Nissan’s electric powertrains. e-4ORCE, Nissan’s most advanced four-wheel drive technology, provides safe traction and acceleration in all conditions. The “e” in e-4ORCE stands for Nissan’s 100% electric propulsion system. “4ORCE”, “4” stands for four-wheel drive and expresses the physical strength and energy of the vehicle.

The system will also be seen on the Ariya electric crossover, which will be launched later in 2022. The powerful twin e-motor system has a total output of 157 kW (213 hp) thanks to the 94 kW rear engine that can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7 seconds. The response to the rear torque is 10,000 times faster than with a mechanical four-wheel drive. In addition, the constant torque distribution and near-perfect weight balance contribute to safe handling and ride comfort, making it powerful yet powerful. It provides a smooth driving experience.

The e-4ORCE manages power and braking performance specifically for each wheel, maintaining smoothness and stability and staying grounded on almost any road surface without ever having to change driving style or input, making the driver feel more confident. For example on snowy roads vehicle cornering, ultra-precise engine, torque distribution and brake control This allows the driver to stay on the line he wants to stay on. With the confidence to handle such a variety of road surfaces, driving becomes more enjoyable and the driver feels safe, even in different driving scenarios.

Engineers focused on the e-4ORCE’s precision control technology and twin electric motor to provide unparalleled ride comfort. Rolls and springs are minimized by adding regenerative rear-engine braking to the standard front-engine regenerative braking used in typical electric vehicle and hybrid systems. In addition to optimizing front and rear torque distribution, the system applies independent braking control to each of the four wheels to maximize cornering power.

This allows the driver to take the bend with as little steering effort as possible. “The X-Trail with e-POWER and e-4ORCE is unique in its segment as the only seven-seat family crossover with an electric powertrain. Cliodnha Lyons, Regional Vice President Product Planning, Nissan AMIEO Region, for X-Trail: “Exactly the vehicle adventurous families are looking for,” he says.

The new X-Trail will be available in 15 body colors, including 10 single-tone and 5 two-tone combinations.
