The Haval Jolion crossover assembled in China has received Russian Vehicle Type Approval (OTTS). Until recently, cars of this model, produced exclusively at the Tula factory Haval, were sold on our market. The AvtoVzglyad portal clarified how the purely Chinese version differs from the “our”.
The bestseller of the Haval brand, the small crossover Jolion, will now be supplied to the Russian market not only from the assembly plant of the Great Wall company in the Tula region, but also from a factory in the city of Taizhou, the Chinese province of Jiangsu. This became possible thanks to the receipt of the Russian OTTS for these machines assembled abroad.
From China, Jolion will come to our market in both front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions. Although in the Celestial Empire itself, the model is only available with front-wheel drive. In addition to the Jolion version already known to Russian motorists, a slightly modified version of the crossover can be exported to our market from China – with a different grille and bumpers, with a large roof spoiler and a pair of exhaust pipes.
Judging by the certification data, this version of the crossover is 33 mm wider and 7 mm higher than the version known to us. As for engines and transmissions, Haval Jolion of Chinese origin has them identical to the equipment of the “Tula” model. The front-wheel drive version has a 1.5-litre petrol engine with 143 hp under the hood, while the all-wheel drive version has its twin brother with 150 hp. Of. KP – either a 6-speed “mechanic” or a 7-speed “robot”.
