The National Bureau of Credit Histories (NBKI) analyzed its statistics for September. The AvtoVzglyad portal was introduced to the results of the survey.

In particular, the data of 4,000 creditors who pass on information to the NBKI were studied. According to them, the average amount of a loan for the purchase of a car in September 2022 was 1.15 million rubles, which is 3.6% less compared to the same indicator in August 2022. Then it was 1.19 million rubles. Recall that in February 2022, the average amount of a car loan was 1.35 million rubles. So at this point, the decline was 15.1% from the February level.

The maximum decrease in the “September” size of a car loan was registered in the regions of Stavropol (-10.1%), in Tula (-9.8%), Orenburg (-7.4%) and Omsk (-7 .4%). In the Krasnodar Territory, it fell slightly less – by 6.8%. In Moscow and St. Petersburg, the average amount of credit for buying a car decreased moderately – by 2.6% and 1.9%, respectively.

But the average size of a car loan increased in a number of regions: in the Tyumen region by 3.5%, in the Perm region by 3.4% and in the Saratov region by 3.3%. Experts attribute the current dynamics to the fact that relatively inexpensive models of domestic brands, as well as used vehicles, have begun to gain a large share of the sales structure in the Russian car market.
