The metropolitan system for collecting fines from motorists is constantly “mastering” all the new objects and trying to take over all aspects of the existence of a private passenger car in the city. Portal “AutoVzglyad” discovered another manifestation of this process.

The “creeping” distribution of police complexes for automatic fixation of traffic violations in Moscow continues. Motorists are known to be constantly monitored by 3,500 traffic police cameras on poles and 154 cars equipped with parkons. At the beginning of September 2022, this information was in any case up-to-date. In the near future, however, it will probably have to be adjusted. The fact is that the city authorities have begun to equip Deptrans shuttle buses with cameras that punish drivers.

Recall that until recently, only one way was known to turn ordinary “beads” into a mobile “generator of fines”. We are talking about the cameras installed in the front of the cabin of some of them, which fix the license plates of cars driving directly in front of the bus. Their task is simple and unpretentious: to punish the drivers who dared to drive past the “marked” and carelessly allowed the bus with the camera to overtake them. It is characteristic that on the sides of the latter there are small stickers with a sign of automatic fixation of violations. This is believed to be enough to warn drivers that they are being “taken away”.

The AvtoVzglyad portal found that this was not enough for the “Moscow fine collectors”. And for some time, Mosgortrans buses have been equipped with police cameras – similar to those on passenger cars – “parkons”. They, if someone did not know, sail along certain routes and automatically photograph violations of the parking stop rules (the fixation complex is located in the cabin in front of the windshield on the right side of the “sill”).

Now these cameras are also installed on the windshields of some “buses” – their lenses look at cars parked right on the curb. Unlike the case of “bus” video recording of cars exiting into the “separate lane”, there are no warning signs on the sides of the “parkon buses”. In other words, city drivers should keep in mind: If a car with a “parkon” has never driven into your street, don’t relax, allowing improper curbside parking. A fine can also ‘arrive’ from a harmless (until recently) public bus.
