Why do new car batteries fail so quickly?
Fall is a traditional time to replace a car battery. Waved and forgot a few years? But no: now the “renewed” battery can be asked for a non-ferrous metal in a few months. Who is responsible for this: the generator, installer, manufacturer, conspiracy or damage? Everything is much easier. The answer can be found in the material of the AvtoVzglyad portal.

Turbulent times – and the current year can hardly be called another – always give rise to a huge number of people who want to cash in and cheat. Sometimes an acute lack of finances drives even honest businessmen to “tricks”, let alone “rambunctious” comrades. Of course, you can be reminded again that it is worth buying something only from trusted sellers, but exorbitant prices and the desire to save money … In general, sooner or later everyone falls for deception, but not everyone understands the essence of “separation”. Take the battery circuit, for example.

It got a little colder, it started to rain – the engine started slow and then lost the battery completely, flashing goodbye to the dashboard. Of course, the battery has not been replaced for a long time, it was the turn of the hitherto postponed visit to the store. Today, the lion’s share of purchases are made over the Internet, and even the purchase of such an off-budget spare part should be started by following the market.

What can be ‘monitored’ there now? Ordinary and well-known sellers have noticeably increased the prices, but some “newcomers” have very nice prices. Yes, they are looking for customers, they work for the image and good grades. We call – “there is, come, the price is current.” This is, of course, a car market, a pavilion. And where else can you buy the right part, and now even for a bargain price?

A chatty salesman, a “delicious” price list, a brand new battery – just, literally for me, the film was torn off. Looks like there’s something to check – take it and post it. We say: the relief comes immediately, and the brain, the villain, forgets the problem of a “dead” battery. But the very first frost brings everything back to normal. The service station points to the battery and issues a “replacement” judgment. Yes, how come, they recently introduced a new one! A generator maybe?

But with the generator, praise the Almighty, everything is perfectly fine. Unfortunately, the battery just replaced turned out to be very second-hand. The seller at the time of purchase handed someone the battery, washed it and put new stickers on it. The electrolyte indicator is not difficult to deceive – there are two balls, so a toothpick or a match will solve the problem. And then – the “charge-discharge” complex, which is able to extend the life of even a fading battery by a few months.

There is no point in arguing with the seller, because the claims must be written to the manufacturer, and he – it happens – only now he left Russia and covered the local representative office. Go to the European courts, claim damages. But for that you have to do an independent investigation first. Whether the game is worth the candle is a rhetorical question. It’s easier, faster and cheaper to buy a new battery, but with one caveat: no savings this time.
