In our car dealerships you can legally buy liquids based only on isopropyl alcohol, and it is considered a strong solvent that aggressively corrodes plastic and rubber. The problem is that plastics, when they come into contact with them, change their structure and some properties. To reduce this effect, manufacturers add special additives to the rings. But they don’t always help.
And in spilled liquids in the garage there are no such additives at all, but alcohol is more than enough. At the same time, according to the documents, it turns out that everything is in order. There is no banned methanol! This means that such a “bodyagi” can be sold even in a store, even on the road. That is why many drivers are waiting for unpleasant surprises this winter.
Headlight visors with regular wetting with such a “ring” turn yellow and crack. Microcracks can be seen with the naked eye when they shine in the sun.
