The Renault Duster Oroch pickup, sold in Brazil since 2015, has received a facelift. The car is built on the basis of the first generation Duster and the “base” was not updated. In this regard, the appearance of the American truck has not undergone significant changes, but its interior is completely new – with an up-to-date screen. The name has also changed: the novelty dropped the name of the crossover and now debuted as the Renault Oroch.
Externally, the updated Oroch can be recognized by a redesigned bumper without a silver insert at the front, a different grille and a different location of fog lights, as well as lanterns with transparent lenses. In addition, the pickup has changed wheels and increased roof rails – now they can withstand loads weighing up to 80 kilograms. The expensive version also received plastic lining on the bottom of the doors, which are not available in more affordable options, and additional optics.

In the cabin, a different steering wheel, horizontal air duct deflectors, other door cards, as well as a new “tidy”, which replaced the carved visor with a flat one, appeared – Oroch took it to Kaptur. In the center is an eight-inch display of a “floating” multimedia system.

There is a newcomer in the engine range – this is a 1.3 four-cylinder turbo engine with a capacity of 170 horsepower and 270 Nm of torque, which replaced the two-liter naturally aspirated engine. An alternative is the old 1.6-liter engine with 120 forces (159 Nm). The supercharged engine in the top is combined with a CVT. In Brazil, the reason is only the front, but in neighboring Argentina, an all-wheel drive version was also sold for restyling.
The equipment of the improved pickup truck has an independent rear suspension, a stabilization system and an assistant when starting uphill, and climate control and a light and rain sensor are available for an extra charge.
The cost of the model has already been disclosed: it varies from 23 to 29 thousand dollars.
