Just like little children: traffic police Tuvan dressed cows in reflective “vests”

Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Republic of Tyva drove around the neighboring farms of the city of Shagonara, distributing retro-reflective elements to horses and cows. This is to reduce the number of accidents with livestock on country roads.

When previous traffic cops actively dressed citizens in reflective vests – especially children who, after playing too much, can suddenly jump onto the roadway – they have now rounded up animals. According to the Telegram channel of the Tuvan Ministry of the Interior, cattle were put on reflective bands that are clearly distinguishable in the headlights at a distance of up to 400 meters.

Police noted that this measure is intended to reduce the number of accidents on the road, as some cows and horses lag behind the herd and continue to graze near the highway, increasing the risk of accidents.

By the way, according to the republican interior ministry, there have been 80 collisions with animals in Tyva since the beginning of the year: as a result, one person died and 10 were injured. The largest number of incidents were recorded in the Kyzyl region.
