However, the traffic police now have no option to fine drivers for violations – precisely because the list says nothing about tires that do not correspond to the season.

And now the Ministry of Internal Affairs has prepared a new version of the document and sent it to the Analytical Center under the Government of the Russian Federation for review. Most likely, the government will support this initiative of the traffic police and it will come into effect on March 1, 2023. That is, at the same time that the traffic rules will contain references to the means of individual mobility and the prohibition of parking / stopping on “safety islands”. After that, traffic police officers for food in the winter “on the fly” and in the summer “on the peaks” will start fining drivers under Part 1 of Article 12.5 of the Code of Administrative Offenses – in the same way as protocols have been drawn up for, for example, “before coloring”.
