The commercial vehicle segment is taken over by the Chinese. Asians took leading positions in the market of loader cranes, loaders, construction equipment and tractors. But with trucks they are still too far from KamAZ.
According to sales statistics in the commercial vehicle segment from January to October 2022, the most popular trucks in Russia are still domestic KamAZ vehicles. For example, it accounted for 46.7% of the supply at Avito Auto and 28.7% of the demand.
As mentioned earlier, the Chinese have become noticeably stronger. For example, on the same internet platform, the share of Shacman (Shaanxi) in the supply structure of new trucks rose to 11.4% from 5.5% in 2021 and in the demand structure from 8% to 24.2%. Another Chinese brand, Howo, showed growth: 5.7% of supply and 6.5% of demand, which is slightly less than our GAZ with indicators of 9.2% and 9.3%.
Forklifts, on the other hand, went entirely to the guys from China. The top five brands included Lonking, XCMG, SDLG LinGong, LiuGong and JAC. In the construction industry, Shacman has once again made his mark, and with him XCMG. Well, China rules!
