Russian car owners are faced with massive maintenance problems for their cars. Spare parts have indecently increased in price, and besides, many of them are in total shortage. However, there are cars that have circumvented this problem.

The AvtoVzglyad portal has already talked about how the military “charges” owners of popular foreign cars with money, which, against the backdrop of hype, has rocketed the prices of components. Some car services offer to replace brake pads and discs in a circle for a Toyota Camry, beloved by Russians, for 150,000 rubles, and a timing chain for a Mercedes-Benz E-class for 300,000 in the Russian currency fortified. Why, even if for a more mundane Volkswagen Tiguan some kind of ignition coil costs at least 10,000 rubles, and the front suspension on the Kia Rio – all 50,000! Looks like it’s time to take public transportation. Or not?

In any case, the owners of a number of models have significantly reduced the ride on their cars. Although there are plenty whose cars are not covered by the price hike or the shortage of spare parts. So, for example, the cars of the British Jaguar and the American Cadillac, recognized as illiquid, almost did not feel the crisis in their service. Let’s say that the lever on the Jaguar XJ cost about 5-7 thousand “wooden” before the start of the sanction period, and so it is now. Experience no difficulties and the owners of the Cadillac CTS. But Escalade, as the most popular and expensive car in the manufacturer’s lineup, can screw up how.

And if prices for unpopular models increased by an average of 30%, then prices for the most popular cars rose by 85% or more in some cases. This mainly concerns the products of the foreign Ford. Almost 50% higher parts prices for the Japanese Subaru, about 40% – for the German Audi. 30% plus the cost of auto parts was split between the products of the Swedish Volvo and the Czech Skoda. The owners of the Japanese Mazda, the French Citroën and Peugeot, but also the Korean SsangYong and Daewoo will have to pay the least.

Separately, it should be said about the body elements. According to analysts at Tinkoff Insurance, prices for parts for body repairs have skyrocketed by more than 30% on average. The maximum price increase is observed for car bumpers (+34%), optics (+32%), mudguards (+31%) and front doors (+30%). But the rear doors and hoods increased in value by an average of 29%, glass – by 26%.

In general, the owners of the domestic LADA, UAZ and GAZ, since it is not difficult to guess, have the easiest time in a crisis. Components for the products of “our brands” are always in abundance, the prices are more than enough, and repairs can be done both independently and for a pittance in any Uncle Alik’s garage.
