JAC Motors will not update its fleet with internal combustion engines
The company confirmed do not intend to renew the fleet of cars with internal combustion engines in Brazil🇧🇷 With models such as the T60 with 2021/2022 versions, it will still be possible to find vehicles available at official dealerships. However, the fleet of these vehicles will not be updated.
By deciding to focus solely on electric vehicles, the company is betting on the future of the Brazilian market. Although growing every year, sales of electric vehicles, motorcycles and trucks are only a small part of the total number of vehicles sold, with high price being the main barrier to sale.
Despite this, recent polls show that more than 60% of Brazilians would like to own an electric car. Internationally, other cities and major companies are also betting on this segment, such as New York and the decision to allow only electric vehicles in the city from 2035. In Brazil, it will be some time before sales of electric vehicles surpass those of internal combustion engines.
