The fact that they will start producing new all-wheel drive “iron horses” under the LADA brand, reports RIA Novosti, referring to the company’s president Maxim Sokolov.
The top manager said that such cars are simply necessary for our automotive industry in general and for AVTOVAZ in particular. However, developing machines is not fast. Passenger cars with a 4×4 wheel formula will appear in LADA not earlier than in 3-4 years. At the same time, 30 billion rubles can be spent on engineering.
Remember that the factory workers have experience making all-terrain vehicles. For example, in 2007 a prototype LADA Kalina 4WD was presented at the Moscow Motor Show.
