We are talking about BAIC (Beijing Automotive Group) and Chery. In addition, Avtotor announced some time ago the start of the reconfiguration of its conveyor belt for the production of cars of new brands. It is therefore likely that the assembly line will be commissioned this year. That will partly alleviate the shortage of new cars in the long-suffering, but still promising Russian car market.
And taking into account the fact that in the Kaliningrad region, under the auspices of Rosatom, the construction of a giga-factory for the production of Li-Ion batteries has begun, and the construction of production buildings for the assembly of electric motors and electronic control systems is being completed at Avtotor itself, it can be expected that Vedomosti believes that the Russian market of “green” cars will be actively replenished from here, and not from Lipetsk or Moscow.
