Due to the increased demand for the Chinese brand’s products, Geely is preparing to increase passenger car production at the BelGee plant in Belarus to at least 35,000 units per year. The main sales market is Russian.
Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Petr Parkhomchik announced plans to increase production volumes at the BelGee enterprise. According to him, by 2023 the plant will produce at least 35,000 cars, and in the future they plan to “spread” assembly up to 60,000 units per year. In other words, to fully load the machine-building site in accordance with the task of President Alexander Lukashenko.
By comparison, by the end of 2022, the car factory will produce just over 25,000 cars.
