The AvtoVzglyad portal has already reported that sellers of cars imported through the almost rubber window of parallel imports have begun to offer a local warranty valid for up to 1 year. Granted, not all of them and not on any machine. However, many smarter sellers decided to sell this warranty altogether.

While some dealers offer a one-year warranty, but for free, others are ready to service the car for three years. Granted, for money. In other words, sellers are creating programs similar to the used car warranty that was once the case with premium brands. Or as another name for such service is extended warranty.

Incidentally, the customer will in fact no longer receive a new car, even if this is formally the case. The fact is that the PTS will include a person to whom the car imported by the left was originally registered. And for this you need to go through customs, get the CBKTS and basically an electronic TCP. Plus pay a disposal fee. And only then can the new owner, in fact the second owner, who bought the car register it.

Returning to warranty obligations, or rather, as the sellers themselves call them, the situation is as follows: if you want the purchased car product to be repaired and maintained, you pay. No – pay anyway, but just look for the causes of breakdowns, then reserve parts and repair them yourself. Or somewhere on the side. In conditions of general shortage and price increase – that’s all!

Although, as we know, even the official warranty did not work very well in Russia. It’s easier to “jump off” by accusing the car owner of abuse, which happened quite often. Unless, of course, this or that defect was not recognized as huge. In general, for users – nothing new. How, in fact, and well. Especially considering that dealers want to receive at least 1% of the cost price of this car from the owner of the purchased car. And – annually.

For example, for a car with a price tag of less than 3,000,000 rubles, you will have to pay about 100,000 rubles for three years of warranty service. In addition, the rate may vary at the discretion of the dealer. Obviously not to the benefit of the customer. But what can I say, if today the car dealer itself takes money from you, and tomorrow it will simply go bankrupt. On purpose or not, it doesn’t matter. The main thing is that the car owner, having spent his hard-earned money, risks being left with a nose.

In general, everything is traditional – in Russian. A disappointing fact: today’s lottery is not only the purchase of the car itself, but also its maintenance. And even under the “warranty”.
