At the Moskvich plant, owned by Renault until spring, production of cars began – crossovers of the Chinese brand JAC, which received new names. By the end of this year, the company will produce 600 cars: 400 of the gasoline Model 3 and 200 of the electric Model 3e.

The production of crossovers at Moskvich is carried out according to the SKD method. And if the plan for 2022 is 600 cars, then there are already 50,000 for 2023. In addition, ⅕ of the volume, as the AvtoVzglyad portal was told at a conference dedicated to the launch of the conveyor belt, will be electric trains.

According to company representatives, their goal is to make the plant a “base center” for the production of “green” cars, that is, the largest in the country. Reportedly, it will not only “load” the empty car market, but also create 40,000 jobs.

In addition, as for future plans, Moskvich will release its own model of “key Russian components” by 2025. But which one (after all, there are huge problems with the production of “our own” in the country), the question remains open.
