The life of cars with internal combustion engines can continue even if internal combustion engines are subject to a complete ban. True, for this the machines need a “heart” transplant. The AvtoVzglyad portal reveals the future of old vehicles.

Lately, the “green” agenda has been steadily destroying the known world of mobility. Changing people’s view of decades of car use. Is it good? It’s hard to say for sure, because in any case nothing is eternal. And human habits, like technology, are constantly evolving. Therefore, the transition to electric mobility, which seemed an exotic some time ago, is now almost inevitable.

Naturally, car manufacturers began to actively implement the “green” transition en masse. But, it seems, not because they are concerned about nature, but because of a banal interest in profit. At the same time, they are constantly fueling environmental concerns among the world’s population, announcing the timing of the cessation of production of internal combustion engine cars and preparing us for a trouble-free future of eco-friendly mobility.

At the same time, we understand that every car is not a one-off product. He shouldn’t serve a year or two. For example, a few years ago, a BMW official said in an interview that with proper care, the company’s cars should serve their owner for at least 15 years. And let’s say that by 2030 there will be a complete rejection of internal combustion engines. Taking into account the fact that the cost of modern cars is growing much faster than the well-being of citizens, it is difficult to imagine that everyone will suddenly take and buy a new electric car. This means that a large number of old cars with internal combustion engines remain available.

Of course, we may be faced with the fact that these machines are simply forbidden to work at the legislative level. What’s next? Will the huge fleet of vehicles come under pressure and become the main source of metal, plastic and glass for the green industry of the future? Perhaps this too. But there is another option.

These vehicles can undergo a renovation. Which removes the “harmful” engine for nature from them. Instead, a high-tech electric motor and battery pack will be installed. In principle, it sounds quite simple, but in fact everything is much more complicated.

To effectively handle the car, the electric motor must receive a large amount of information. After all, it is inserted into an already existing and advanced digital machine control system. That is, there is a need for a special control unit, which must take into account the specifics of this particular car, taking into account the characteristics of the engine and transmission.

Given the current diversity of the machine world, such a task does not seem easy, but it is certainly solvable. Moreover, work is already underway in this direction. For example, the company Avtotor announced that it is facing the problems of the traditional car remotorization program.

And that’s great, because in the course of its rich history, the automotive world has not only created a large number of unique technical and design solutions. It is surprisingly diverse and, in a sense, makes our lives both better and more meaningful. And it will be a shame to lose it during the merciless transition to electric traction.

Therefore, the AvtoVzglyad portal recommends taking care of your “swallows”. Suddenly, after some time, the state organizes a free remotorization program for your pets.
