World Cup 2022: Welsh fans tried to drive from the UK to Qatar on an electric car

season world Cup this is a period of great celebration and celebration in many countries. With this in mind, and also to celebrate the return of their national team to the tournament after 64 years, fans from Wales (United Kingdom) tried to travel from their homeland to Qatar in an electric car (MG 4 EV), in the saga almost 8 thousand kilometers must be completed. Unfortunately, the group did not complete the trip. The impediment was not caused by vehicle restrictions, but by the lack of permission to enter Saudi Arabia.

Either way, this is a story worth telling. A group led by a former athlete Scott Young and four other fans left Wales on 28 October for the Qatari capital Doha. The argument was persuasive:If Wales can qualify for the Statistical World Cup, then so can we.🇧🇷 The concern was real: they were afraid of the possible lack of charging stations.

“If Wales can get to the World Cup no matter what, then we can too,” say the group.

Young pointed out: “Charging points are quite common in Northern Europe, but there are a bit more distances between Belgrade (capital of Serbia) and North Macedonia.” The journey continued and they crossed over ten countries; however, the greatest difficulty was to come, and it could not be overcome in the desired way.

When they arrived at Saudi Arabiawere blocked: the location does not allow cars with right-hand drive.
