In Russia, as you know, there are about 56 million cars. At the same time, our fleet is very old – the average age is almost 14.5 years – and therefore needs regular repairs. However, the crisis forced drivers to save money and sanctions limited the supply of oils, consumables and spare parts. On the question of whether there is light at the end of this “repair tunnel”, the portal “AvtoVzglyad” reflects.

This year both owners of cheap ‘our brands’ and owners of premium models struggled. The latter, incidentally, is particularly difficult. Prices for original spare parts have skyrocketed and placing an Asian counterpart is dangerous. Even if it fits, the source remains incomprehensible. After all, if, for example, the drive belt “loosens” or, even worse, jumps off the rollers, then a serious repair is almost guaranteed.

How, in this case, to choose consumables in order to save money and not fall into a fake counterfeit? Which manufacturer to trust considering that quite a few obscure players have appeared on the market? You will be surprised, but not everything is so bad.

For example, various spare parts and consumables are already supplied to us from Turkey. In addition, imports of quite suitable auto parts from Thailand and Iran may begin soon (it’s not worth talking about Chinese options).

And in more detail about how the problem of the shortage of spare parts in Russia is being solved (and whether it will be solved in the near future), you can learn from the next issue of the podcast of the AvtoVzglyad portal here.
