Off-road 4×4 vehicles have attracted attention in every period of history. In addition, there are very good models in this category. A recent development shows that a new playmaker may have been born in this sector.
A company called Munro Vehicles, founded in Scotland in 2019, officially introduced the off-road vehicle called “MK_1”. The all-electric 4×4 is “the most capable all-electric 4×4 in the world” according to the company. The handmade MK_1 seems to be able to find buyers with its remarkable features.
Here comes the Munro MK_1
The Munro MK_1 is indeed a gigantic vehicle. The all-terrain vehicle, whose ground clearance is described as 48 centimeters, can even go through 80 centimeters of water. The design-less MK_1 seems to attract the attention of consumers who like cars with sharp lines.
The handmade 4×4 off-road vehicle is powered by a pair of electric motors, one with 295 hp and the other with 375 hp. The MK_1, which comes with a 61 kWh battery pack that offers a range of 306 kilometers, can also be purchased with an optional 82 kWh larger battery. By charging from 15 percent to 80 percent in 36 minutes, the all-terrain vehicle retains 80 percent of its original battery capacity, even after 8 years or 161,000 miles of use, the company said.
MK_1, which has 3,500 kilograms of pulling force and 1,000 kilograms of carrying capacity, has several driving modes. For example, when put in performance mode, it accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds. But don’t be fooled by this value. The maximum speed of the 4×4 all-terrain vehicle, which was not made for speed, was announced as 129 km/h.
Munro MK_1, which can be purchased now for $61,000 before taxes, will be delivered to owners from January 2023. Since the vehicle is produced by hand, delivery times will increase in the next process.
