So what to do – really re-glue? Of course, under ideal conditions, this is the only technologically correct way out of the situation. But where are we and where are those conditions? Therefore, you need to look for a simple and cheap solution to get a deferment. And it is.

The first step is to determine the location of the leak: a warm garage and a bottle of water will help. Once the “gap” has been found, arm yourself with a cloth, glass cleaner and preferably a degreaser, treat the damaged aircraft and let it dry. The final stage is the same glass sealant that you can buy in a store: it works both in a tube and in a syringe, the main thing is that the quality of the “glue” does not cause suspicion. You need to decide on the color in advance: it would be nice to get into the factory version.

We apply the glue and carefully distribute it with a rubber glove with a plug of at least a centimeter on each side of the puncture. And then – wait. How? This is in the instructions, which would be nice to follow, so as not to do it again later. This approach allows you to “hibernate”, and in the case of careful implementation of the rules, you will have several years to calmly accumulate money for glass replacement. And do it as planned, and not in the “fire truck” mode.

Separately, there is the question of parallel imports: how will the cars made for hot Asia behave in the Russian frost? How does car production for the UAE differ from that for a typical winter climate? I would not be surprised if a completely different glass sealant is used for the desert, the main task of which is to withstand the sun, and not the piercing cold. But it is unlikely that now it will be possible to find the right answer – only time and operational experience will tell.
