The first winter with a used car is not for the faint of heart. Here it whistles, then it rumbles. Fixed, of course, but at what cost? Here you need to remember two things: “not the gods burn the pots” and “you have to dance from the stove.” Most often, the localization of a problem with the interior heating is as follows: open the hood and carefully look at the expansion tank – if the antifreeze does not go away, then we are lucky, there are no leaks in the system. Is there enough liquid? If not, gently add a thin trickle. Next – we drive up the hill with the “beak” forward and open the expansion tank, turning it alternately – this is how a possible air lock will come out. After we check the effect. And if nothing has changed, go to plan B.

We crawl under the driver’s mat and check the humidity. Wet? We take a clean white paper napkin and wipe it over the carpet: if there are no bright colors and a sharp smell of antifreeze, then it’s just water. We exhale a second time: the heating radiator is intact. You can move on to the thermostat: if it stops working and freezes in the closed position, then the machine is constantly in warm-up mode and the stove does not blow heat under any circumstances. Except for one thing: the thermostat is being replaced. And to check the performance of the node is simple: we throw it into the pan and cook over high heat. Does the water boil and does the tap open? So everything is fine, but the cause of the problems with the stove is different.

And then usually the most intelligent thought comes to mind: but the heat is bad, but it was still blowing. And from here the right path to the goal begins: we remove the glove box, take out the air filter and cabin plastic and open our way to the heater – the fan that should actually distribute warm air throughout the cabin.

In many cars, this is a rather expensive unit, therefore, in case of a breakdown, before selling the car, they try to replace it with an “analogue”. There is no analogue? “Nice” of something! For example, under the dashboard of the Chevrolet Tahoe there is a part of, for example, a Zhiguli or Nissan Micra. Each fit in size, but never match in strength. The stove will work, but the probability of heat, even in light frost, is minimal.

Here is the solution to the problem: inspecting the stove fan and tuning the item will solve the problem of poor indoor heating in three out of four cases and finally enjoy the winter. As much as possible.
