The dealer holding company Avtodom, which now owns the Mercedes-Benz plant in the Moscow region, plans to resume car production. This is a large-scale gathering. But what kind of cars is not really known yet.

The Mercedes-Benz factory can therefore start producing cars again. And we are talking about the summer of 2023. Recall that the construction of this enterprise in the Esipovo technopark started in 2017, and the first cars rolled off the assembly line in the spring of 2019. The site was designed for the production of up to 20,000 vehicles per year and involved a full cycle of assembly work, including welding and body painting.

But in October 2022, the Germans sold both it and their other assets in Russia to the Avtodom dealer holding company. Which in the summer of the 23rd year plans to resume car production. It is clear that such tight deadlines only imply SKD assembly. And that means China again. Only it is not yet very clear which brand from the Celestial Empire has been chosen as partners by the new owners of the German economy.
